Cars Parked Outside Christmas Eve Church Service Targeted by Burglars

Dubuque Police are reaching out to the public for information on who broke into cars parked outside a local church during its Christmas Eve service. Police tell KDTH they began receiving reports of the break-ins at about 7:45 that night. Several vehicles parked outside of St. Columbkille Catholic Church on Rush Street were targeted. The cars had all been parked in lots near the church. In each case, the burglars broke passenger-side windows and took a purse from inside the vehicles. No arrests have been made, though police continue to investigate. Anyone with information about who was behind the break-ins is asked to contact Dubuque Police or the local CrimeStoppers tip line.
