Carnegie-Stout Reopens Monday

After being closed for two-and-a-half months because of the coronavirus, the Carnegie-Stout Public Library is set to reopen its’ doors to the public on Monday, with limited services. Library director Susan Hendricks says they’ll reopen safely, by implementing social distancing practices and other guidelines for their staff and visitors. All services inside the library will be available, with the exception of program attendance, and the ability to sit, relax and read. Hendricks says it’s time to return all check-out materials, so starting Monday, the wavier on past due items and hold fees will end. Because some of their patrons might not feel totally safe going back into their building, Hendricks says they’ll continue to offer curbside pickup service for the foreseeable future.
