Bellevue Threat Not Credible

Officials in the Bellevue school district have determined that a threat to the middle and high school this week wasn’t credible. According to our coverage partners at KCRG TV principal Jeff Recker made staff aware of a “vague” and “concerning” message inside the school at around 9:15 Wednesday morning. The building was evacuated so staff and law enforcement could do a sweep of the school. A few hours later superintendent Tom Meyer updated his Facebook page with status saying “We have worked with law enforcement and we have determined the threat to not be credible. We feel the students are safe. Recker says students and teachers handled the situation well.
