Bee Branch Creek Railroad Culvert Project

The public is invited to attend a special kick-off on Thursday to celebrate the initiation of construction of the Bee Branch Creek Railroad Culvert phase of the Bee Branch Watershed Flood Mitigation Project. Mayor Roy Buol says the Bee Branch Creek Railroad Culvert is a critical phase of the larger project at the Bee Branch. The installation of the culverts under the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks along Garfield Ave will allow storm water to drain more efficiently from the upstream portion of the Bee Branch Creek to the downstream portion and 16th St. Detention Basin. The ceremony Thursday will begin at 4 p.m. in the Lower Bee Branch corridor at the end of the paved trail north of East 16th Street. The program will include remarks by City staff, project funding partners, and elected officials.
