Baked Shrimp Mac and Cheese
1 bag precooked Mac & Cheese
1 bag of precooked shrimp, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon butter
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/3 cup panko bread crumbs
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F.
Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper flakes.
In a large skillet, over medium-low heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter, then add shrimp and sprinkle with seasoning mixture. Stir and warm through for 2-3 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together the bag of mac & cheese and the shrimp. Pour into prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the panko bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly on top of mac and cheese. Place in oven and bake 45-50 minutes, or until bubbly around edges. Remove from oven, let rest 10 minutes and serve.
