- The Clarke University baseball team has been knocked into the consolation bracket of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament yesterday in Ozark, Missouri. The Pride lost to Baker 4-2 and will now meet Mount Mercy at 10 o’clock this morning in hopes of remaining alive in the tourney. The winner will have to defeat Baker twice in order to claim the tournament title.
- On Thursday, both Dubuque and Loras will play in the American Rivers Conference tourney in Cedar Rapids. Dubuque the #4 seed will meet #5 seed Central at 11:00 at Daniels Park; at the same time Loras the #6 seed will face #3 seed Luther at Veterans Stadium.
- (men) Dubuque finished 4th and Loras 7th after the final round of the American Rivers Tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dubuque totaled a +78 (938) over the three rounds. Loras totaled a +113 (973). Nebraska Wesleyan laid claim to the team title with a +57 (917). Two Dubuque golfers finished with all-conference honors by placing in the top 10. Brady Ellis finished 6th place at +15 (230) and fellow Spartan Garvin Paper placed 10th at +18 (233). The top Loras golfer was Jake Grabner who finished in a tie for 19th place with +26 (241)
