- In the first round of the Loras Spring Invitational yesterday at Thunder Hills Country Club; host Loras was the leader shooting a 309, two strokes in front of UW Stout and five strokes in front of Dubuque who shot 314. Clarke sits in fourth place at 315. Clarke’s Andrew Gates is the first round leader after firing a one under Par 70. The second round will be played starting later this morning.
- U-W Platteville finished second yesterday following the second round of the Marian Spring Invitational at Whistling Straits in Fond du Lac. The Pioneers shot 375 yesterday for a two day total of 747, four strokes back of champion St. Norbert. The Pioneers did have the medalist with Alyssa Elko carding a plus 30 174 to win by 7 strokes.
