Baked Cod Ala Kaye

Baked Cod

1 pounds Cod filets

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 ½ tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon lemon juice

¼ teaspoon seasoned salt

¼ teaspoon dried basil

Pepper to taste 

Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. 

Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.  Lay cod filets in a single layer in the dish. 

In a bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, melted butter, mayonnaise, lemon juice, seasoned salt, dried basil, and pepper.  Spoon some of the mixture over each of the filets.  

Bake filets for 20-25 minutes, or until fish just starts to flake.  Baking time will depend on the thickness of the filets used.  If you’d like, you can pop the fish under your broiler (high setting) for a few minutes to brown up the topping.

Remove from oven and serve.
