4th Annual Set Free March

A local group dedicated to educating people about human trafficking will be holding a special event on Saturday. Suzie Wright, Executive Director of Set Free Dubuque, says the 4th annual Set Free Walk is a free, silent, single file walk with a unique route. It is sometimes a shock to find out that local young people have suffered with modern day slavery themselves. Volunteer Casey Klein notes it’s important for youth to not let potential predators know they are an easy mark. Thanks to funds made available they will be able to bring their program information directly to schools. Registration begins Saturday at 9:30 am in the Roshek Building lobby with the walk beginning at 10:00 am. Informational booths will be available to learn more about human trafficking and they will also have t-shirts and Nightlight jewelry for sale.
