National 4-H Week

Dubuque County 4-H will observe National 4-H Week this year by showcasing the experiences that 4-H offers young people and will highlight the youth in our community who work each day to make a positive impact on those around them. During National 4-H Week, October 6th – 12th, staff and volunteers will visit Dubuque County 4-H classrooms to promote 4-H. 4-H members and volunteers are encouraged to promote 4-H during the week by creating and hanging up signs, sharing on social media, wearing their favorite 4-H shirts, participating in a 4-H pumpkin scavenger hunt, and more. Sarah Ludwig, Dubuque County Youth Coordinator, says things kick off with a free Fall Fun Fest Saturday from noon to 3 pm. In Dubuque County, there are more than 350 youth and 80 volunteers from the community who are involved in 4-H. Financial support may be given to The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque in support of the Dubuque County Extension/4H Endowment Fund.
