3rd Person Arrested For Music Store Burglary

A third suspect has been arrested for his role in a burglary at a music store in Dubuque last year. Police arrested 45 year old Timothy Schlarman of Dubuque over the weekend. He faces charges ranging from first degree theft to possession of marijuana and ecstasy with intent to deliver. Two other Dubuque men, 36 year old David Muntz Jr. and 35 year old Chad Julson were arrested last month for their part in the burglary. Police records say on December 31st Julson and Muntz smashed a window at Uncle Ike’s Music and Sound on Radford Road with a cinder block and stole guitars valued at over $14,000. Traffic camera footage tracked the men who drove to Schlarman’s residence. Police obtained a search warrant and found the stolen guitars. Schlarman told investigators that he bought the instruments from the men for $1,500, but police examined Julson’s cellphone which revealed an earlier conversation he had with Schlarman where the two discussed the burglary and how to get rid of the evidence.
