Indivisible Dubuque Protest Governor’s Visit To Dubuque

I
Prior to Governor Kim Reynolds’ arrival in Dubuque to address the Chamber of Commerce, members of Indivisible Dubuque, as well as the county and state chairs of the Democratic Party protested outside in front of Hotel Julien. State Chair Troy Price says while the Governor painted another picture of the state in her Condition of the State address this week, it is not the reality of what is actually happening. Price says while the Governor talks about how kids need to have a quality education to become productive citizens, she’s only proposing a small increase in education spending. Steve Drahozal, Chair of the Dubuque County Democratic Party likens the Governor’s policies to her predecessor, former Governor Terry Branstad. Price calls this year’s mid-term election one of the most important in our history. Governor Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg are seeking a full term in office in the November election.
