Dubuque Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant After Crashing Van into Porch

Courtesy: Dubuque Fire Dept.

A Dubuque woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant and cited for multiple traffic violations after she crashed into the porch of an apartment building near downtown Dubuque this morning. Shortly before 8:00 AM, 52-year-old Natalya Jones was driving a minivan eastbound on West 5th Street, downhill toward Bluff Street. That’s where the van veered off of the road, and collided with the front porch of a nearby duplex. Residents of the building were home at the time, but no one was injured. Jones was arrested on an outstanding warrant for 3rd Degree Theft. She was also cited for failing to maintain control, not having insurance, and driving without a license. There’s no damage estimate just yet, though an assistant fire chief who was at the scene believes the entire porch and both of the building’s front doors will have to be replaced.
