LeBron sweeps…Sixers survive…Caps jinx ends

CLEVELAND (AP) – LeBron James scored 29 points, Kevin Love added 23 and the Cleveland Cavaliers swept Toronto for the second straight postseason by winning Game 4 128-93 to advance to the Eastern Conference finals. The Cavs have won 10 consecutive playoff games over Toronto.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – T.J. McConnell turned a surprise start into the save of the season and Dario SaricĀ  scored 25 points to help the Philadelphia 76ers stave off elimination in a 103-92 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 4. McConnell had a career-high 19 points in only his second start of the season

PITTSBURGH (AP) – The Washington Capitals ended 24 years of misery with a playoff series win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The win was just the second by the Capitals over the Penguins in 11 playoff meetings. Washington will play Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference finals.

WINNIPEG – Filip Forsberg scored two incredible goals and added an assist, Pekka Rinne made 34 saves for his second shutout of the playoffs and the Nashville Predators defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-0 on Monday to avoid elimination and tie their second-round series 3-3. Game 7 goes Thursday in Nashville, with the winner taking on the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference final

DENVER (AP) – Two-time Olympic taekwondo champion Steven Lopez has been temporarily suspended while the U.S. Center for SafeSport resolves a case against him involving sexual misconduct allegations. Lopez’s suspension Monday comes days after four women filed a lawsuit in federal court which alleges USA Taekwondo and the U.S. Olympic were long aware that Lopez and his brother were sexual predators.
