Summer activities in Dubuque

Public Swimming Pools
The City of Dubuque offers three public pools including Flora, Hempstead and Sutton. Admission fees are $4 for ages 18 and older. $2 for ages 4 to 17 and Senior citizens ages 62 and up. 3 and under are admitted free. Visit cityofdubuque.org/486/Swimming-Pools for hours of operation.

National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium Kids Club
The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium Kids Club is a free club for kids ages 3 to 12 and open to members and non-members. To join, Visit rivermuseum.com/kids-club and complete the form. Print and present your confirmation email at the box office next time you arrive to receive your Kids Club stamp card!

Register for the Theisen’s “Learn to Skate” program
Registration is now open for the Theisen’s “Learn to Skate” program held at the Mystique Ice Center in September and October. The Program offers beginner skating, hockey, and a competitive figure skating program. Register and check skating times at dbqskating.org

Carnegie-Stout Public Library – Baby Builders Block Party
All future builders come play and build at the library with a variety of blocks for all developmental stages of play including Lego blocks, Mega Blocks, and cardboard blocks. Block play supports skills for future achievement in science and math. Ages 5 and under with their families.

Dinosaur Adventures at Allison-Henderson Center- Lower Level
The Dinosaur Science Camp involves traveling back millions of years ago to the days when dinosaurs roamed the earth. We explore fossils that were left behind, learn about paleontologists, and dig up some dinosaur bones. Bring a sack lunch and drink.
