Dubuque Man Sentenced for Galena Burglary

A Dubuque man will spend some time in an Illinois prison after admitting to his role in a break-in. 32-year-old Alvin Harrison recently pled guilty to a burglary charge in Jo Daviess County Circuit Court. According to court documents, Harrison broke into a Galena building in January of 2017. He moved several bags of tools to an outside gate, but never came back to retrieve them. Harrison has been sentenced to three years in the Illinois prison system. He’s currently being held in an Iowa prison due to a Dubuque County conviction for Domestic Abuse. The time he spends in prison in Iowa will be credited toward his Illinois sentence.
