Simple BBQ Ribs (1/26/2007)

Simple BBQ Ribs
Recipe courtesy: Lloyd Rushing and with a few Michael Kaye alterations.

5 lbs. Country style pork ribs
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
ΒΌ cup salt
2 cups barbeque sauce (I used a 21 oz. Bottle of Hunts Hickory & Brown Sugar)

Place ribs in a large pot with enough water to cover. Season with garlic powder, black pepper and salt. Cover. Bring water to a boil, and cook ribs until tender, about 45 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350-degrees.

Remove ribs from pot and place in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Pour barbeque sauce over the ribs. Cover the dish with aluminum foil, and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until internal temperature of pork has reached 160-degrees.
