Pulled Pork


2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground red pepper

1 Boneless pork shoulder roast (butt roast) 4-5 pounds
1 bottle of your favorite bbq sauce

1. Combine all the spices to form a dry rub and press into all surfaces of the pork roast. Refrigerate overnight if possible.

2. Place roast in crock pot. You may wish to add a little chicken, beef or vegetable broth to bottom of the crock first.

3. Cook on high 4-6 hours or low 8-10 hours.

4. Remove roast from crock. Strain drippings and reserve.
Pull pork roast apart with two forks. Return meat to crock and pour in bottle of bbq sauce. Add some of the reserved drippings to thin. Cook on low for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Stir well and serve over buns.
