Appetizer Meatballs (12/30/2010)

Appetizer Meatballs

1 lb. ground beef
½ cup bread crumbs
½ tsp. onion powder
¼ cup milk
1 egg, beaten
½ tsp. dried parsley
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Vegetable oil for browning meatballs

Sauce

1 bottle chili sauce
10 oz. grape jelly

Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg, parsley, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl. Shape into 1" diameter meatballs. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add meatballs in batches. Do not over crowd the pan. Brown on all sides. Remove from pan to a paper towel to drain off excess grease. Add chili sauce and grape jelly to a large crock pot. Stir well. Add meatballs, cover and cook on low 3-4 hours or until heated through. Serve.
