Herbed Beef Tips & Noodles


3-4 lb. Sirloin roast, cut into cubes
3 tablespoons flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
2 pkg. onion soup mix
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cups beef broth
1 8 oz. can sliced mushrooms (optional)
½ tsp. Kitchen boutique
Oil for browning
Medium egg noodles (cooked)


In a large bowl, add beef cubes, flour, salt, pepper, thyme, basil, and oregano. Mix well. In a large skillet, add enough oil to cover bottom and heat to medium high heat. Add sirloin cubes in batches (don't over crowd pan). Brown on all sides. Once browned, add to 4-5 quart crock pot. When all the meat is browned, add onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, mushrooms (if using) and kitchen boutique to skillet and mix well. Stir until mixture boils, then add to crock pot and stir. Cover and cook 6-8 hours on low. Before cooking time is finished, cook egg noodles according to package directions. Serve beef tips and gravy over noodles. If gravy is too thin, thicken with a little mixture of cornstarch and water, then stir into the crock pot.
