Bishop's Chocolate Pie (6/2/2006)

Bishop's Chocolate Pie
(recipe courtesy HyVee.com)

All You Need:

1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
1 pkg. (3.9 oz) dry instant chocolate pudding mix
1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) dry instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups vanilla ice cream
2 cups milk (skim, 2%, ...etc.)
1 8 oz. container whipped cream
1 Chocolate bar (for shaved chocolate topping)

All you do:

1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter. Press into 9 x 13-inch pan.
2. Bake crust at 350-degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.
3. Blend together chocolate pudding mix, vanilla pudding mix, ice cream and milk. Pour over crust.
4. Store in refrigerator or freezer. Garnish with whipped cream and shaved chocolate at serving time.

I stored mine in the freezer, then, pulled it out several hours in advance of serving and placed it in the refrigerator to thaw.
Worked great!
