Terrific Teriyaki Burgers (7/3/2009)

Terrific Teriyaki Burgers

2 lbs. Ground Beef
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tsp. ginger powder
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
4 tsp. Olive oil
Cooking spray
8 slices cheese, American, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Provolone, or your favorite cheese.

Prepare teriyaki sauce by mixing the garlic, ginger powder, brown sugar, soy sauce, red wine vinegar and olive oil in a medium sized bowl.

In a large bowl, mix ¾ of the teriyaki sauce with ground beef. Save the other ¼ for basting while grilling.

Shape the beef mixture into 8 patties and grill for 4 minutes per side. Brush with remaining teriyaki sauce while grilling.

Serve on toasted burger buns with topped with cheese and lettuce.
