Sure Fire Easy Crock-Pot Pot Roast (3/24/2006)

Sure fire Easy Crock-Pot Pot Roast


1 3-4 lb. Chuck Roast
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 cup beef broth or water
4 medium potatoes-peeled and quartered
4 medium carrots-peeled and chopped
1 medium yellow onion-sliced
1 Bay leaf
1/2 tsp. Basil
1/2 tsp. Thyme
1/2 tsp. Rosemary
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. pepper


Season roast with spices. In 4 or 5 quart crock-pot add onion soup mix, soup and broth or water. Stir. Add potatoes, carrots, onions and mushrooms. Place roast on top of vegetables.

Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Serve.

This recipe makes it’s own gravy! Delicious!!
