BBQ Pork Patties

BBQ Pork Patties

(makes 8 pork patties) 

2 lbs. ground pork

1 cup Cremer’s bbq sauce

¾ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

8 slices Cheddar cheese (optional)

8 slices cooked bacon (optional)

8 buns 

Heat grill to medium-high.  In a medium bowl, place ground pork, ¼ cup bbq sauce, salt and pepper.  Mix gently to combine.  

Form meat into 8 equal-sized patties.  With your thumb, make a ½-inch deep indentation in the center of each (this helps keep patties flat during grilling). 

Oil grill grate.  Grill until cooked through, 4-6 minutes per side.  Cover patties with more bbq sauce and serve on buns with optional cheese and bacon.  

 

Simpler idea:  

Cremer’s Grocery on Rhomberg has ground pork patties per made!   4, ¼-pound patties per pack.  $3.49lb.  Heat grill as above, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper, spread a little bbq sauce on top of each pattie and cook while still frozen, about 3-4 minutes per side, covering with more bbq sauce after the first flip.  Serve.
