KDTH Good Neighbor Show Host (weekdays 11-5)
Born in Red Oak, Iowa and raised in Clinton, Iowa. Attended Clinton High, William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa and the Univ. of Iowa. Been in radio since 1969. Moved around quite a lot for the sake of a career in broadasting. Cedar Rapids, Chicago, Miami, Denver and for the last decade right here in the beautiful Tri-States. Missed home too much and the beloved Hawkeyes.
Favorite music: KDTH songs, and Jazz. Love old black and white TV shows, SciFi, Fantasy and Action movies.
Favorite Food: Love Iowa corn-fed beef and never met a bakery I didn’t like.
Heroes: No heroes per se, but I admire the work of Gary Dolphin and Michael Kaye right here on KDTH (amazing stay at one station and such a great morning personality). Been around and heard a lot of them and they’re tops.
Favorite Past-Time: Love the Hawkeyes!!! Yard work (gosh I’m boring)
Dreams: Hope to see Hawkeye Football go “ALL THE WAY”.
Apple of my eye is my lovely wife Karen, my daughter Eliza in St. Charles, IL, and step-son Brad Thies and wife Meghan, here in DBQ (He is the best Trainer in the area) and who will bless us with a family addition soon..
What my tombstone will say… “I think a mistake has been made”.
